penumbrasoul: (cutie pie)

I highly recommend if any of you lieblings out there have not seen this particular show to watch it. First of all, this show has a plot build by pure creativity. It's a new take on the already worn out zombie genre that we can't seem to get enough of these days. Secondly, the ginger prince himself, Kieren Walker; he has one of the best character development I have seen in a long while. From the first series to the second one he proves to be likeable, well written, and greatly portrayed by Luke Newberry. All the other characters such as Amy or Simon have also wiggled their way into the category I like to call 'Damn-Likeable-Characters-And-Amazingly-Written'.

What I liked most about the intertwined plot and character development, or unraveling of some I have seen thus far is how the queer representation is handled. Not only are the characters involved not simply defined by their sexuality, but their chemistry is undeniably there and the script carried out a relationship I wouldn't mind watching over and over.

If you have watched the show, you should know which pair I am talking about, and if not... go find out! They took me by a pleasant surprise. I'm praying for a series three to be approved. Those special kind of shows which cling to your heart dearly (cheesy as it may sound) only come every so often; this one is one of mine.

A round of applause for BBC.
